School Admissions Policy

Buckingham Primary is a Community school and admission arrangements are determined in agreement with the local authority. The Admissions Authority for our school is the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames which publishes its entry regulations every year.

Our governing body applies the regulations on admissions fairly and equally to all those who wish to attend this school in accordance with the Local Authority.

Parents and Carers can receive a copy of these regulations directly from the LA or by following the link below.

If you live in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and your child is currently attending school, contact the In-year Admissions Team:

If you live outside the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and wish to apply for a place or are moving into the borough and your child is currently attending school, you should contact the In-year admission section of your home council.

Secondary Admissions

If you live within the borough and still need to apply for a place because you missed the deadline or recently moved to the area, please contact School Admissions for an application.

If you do not live in the borough, you need to apply through your own council and you can include Richmond schools on your application form.

All information needed to complete your application can be found in the Secondary Admission brochure(pdf, 3527KB).

If you wish to request a hard copy of the brochure, please contact the School Admissions Team. This is also available for collection from Reception at the address below.

Certain schools need additional information to apply their admissions criteria and may require you to also complete a Supplementary Information Form. For example, schools that prioritise applications by faith. If you are applying for this type of school, please check the school's website for further information and to download a Supplementary Information Form.

Application outcome

Richmond residents will receive a letter notifying them of the outcome of their application regardless of application method.

Applicants who applied online and were offered their first preference school will receive online notification only.
