Chestnut Class

Year 2

We are the cheerful, charming Chestnut Class and we really enjoy learning.  Miss Isaacs is our teacher for four days and Ms Pretty is our teacher on a Friday.  Miss Supdarowa and Miss Skilbeck also help us with our learning.
In our lessons we do lots of exciting activities, use lots of interesting resources, often work in groups and always try our best.  This means we really enjoy our lessons and learn such a lot!

In maths we have been working very hard and have been improving our skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

In literacy we have enjoyed reading 'Snow White in New York' and ' George and the Dragon.' We did some wonderful descriptive writing, drama and art work linked to these stories which we displayed on our ‘Writing Wall’.

We do so many other brilliant lessons. In history we all loved learning about the Great Fire of London - now we are experts!  In science we have been learning about plants and animals and soon we will be planting runner beans!

The picture above shows us on our trip to Richmond Synagogue.  We learnt so many more things to add to the things we have learnt in our R.E lessons about Judaism.  We were able to try on Kippah's, Tallits and saw the Torah Scrolls!

We are Chestnut Class: we always take care of each other and really enjoy learning!
