We Are Elm Class.
Our Class teacher is Miss Saunders and our teaching assistant is Mrs Hitchman. Doa is our class mascot. He is a leopard from Africa and he visits our homes every weekend. We keep a diary of all of his adventures, which you can read in Elm classroom.
This term in elm class we have been very busy learning all about growing. We planted some beans and watched them grow! We learned all about what plants need to grow. We have also planted and grown our own radishes, which some of us were even brave enough to try! Delicious! Some living eggs were delivered to our school and we watched excitedly as they hatched! We named the first one Dave.
We have also been learning about traditional tales and have made our own book about the Enormous Turnip story. We particularly enjoyed the Gingerbread man, and we made a fairytale land for our display.
Most recently we have experimented and made our very own musical instruments, which we have really enjoyed creating music with.
We also performed 'We're going on a Bear Hunt' to the whole school in our class assembly. Miss Saunders and Mrs Hitchman were very proud of us and we had a teddy bears picnic to celebrate all our hard work!
