87 Parent Responses were received via the online link.

Although the responses were fairly evenly spaced from throughout the school, the most were received from Reception Class Parents/Carers - 16.09% - and the least were received from Nursery Parents/Carers - 10.34%.

Interesting focus areas are:

Question 6: My child receives appropriate homework for their age.

As there were significant changes during the academic year of 2017-2018 that concerned the setting and marking of homework, this question is well-positioned to capture the current parental/carer view.

85% of our parents and carers are satisfied with the current homework arrangements.

A total of 12 people, representing 13.7% of the sample, disagreed with this statement, with one person remaining ‘Not sure’.

Question 8: This school deals effectively with bullying.

This question has generated the most ‘Don’t know’ responses with 38 which represents 43.7% of the sample. This may be because parents/carers have not been involved in such an incident and therefore do not know that we do have a strict Anti-Bullying Policy. As a result of this survey, we have therefore decided to forward the Anti-Bullying Policy to each family. We will also include it in the New Parents pack in the future.
