A busy term lies ahead for the children of Sequoia class.
We begin with our exciting Junior Citizen trip before Bikeability and the school journey to Hindleap Warren in October.
In class, we have begun our class reader: Wonder by R.J Palacio which tells the story of August Pullman's who has a facial anomaly and the challenges that he must overcome. It's a great book and we are really enjoying it. In English we have begun to read the Wedding Ghost and our first piece of writing will be a diary entry from the main character Jack's point of view.
In Maths, we are focusing on place value before moving onto master the four number operations. Our History topic is the Vikings and we have already discovered where they are from and how long ago they invaded and settled England.
For PE, we have been learning to pass and dribble a football before we begin to play some matches. We have also been doing Outdoor Adventurous Activities where the focus has been teamwork and how to improve our communication skills when giving instructions.
