Sycamore Class

Welcome back to our class web page! We have been having lots of fun since we last saw you.

In Literacy we have been reading 'George and the Dragon'. We wrote some really exciting descriptions of the dragon, and we loved writing instructions to teach other people how to become 'The Scariest Dragon in the Land'

We have really been enjoying our History lessons. We learnt all about The Great Fire of London. We made our own Pudding Lane which we set on fire on the field - it was lots of fun to see all of the houses go up in flames! Now we are learning about Victorian children - it sounds like life was not much fun for lots of the children, and it has made us realise how lucky we are today.

In Sycamore we are lucky to have Mrs Guzner teaching out RE lessons, and we have been finding out about lots of different religions, including Judaism, Islam and Judaism. We went on a school trip to Richmond Synagogue, where we got to see the beautiful Torah scrolls and try on the Kippahs and Prayer Shawls - how do you think we look?

We are looking forward to the rest of the summer term, which includes a trip to Bushy Park and our class assembly on the 21st of June. We hope to see you all there!
