Welcome to Walnut Class. We are well into the Summer Term and we have been focusing our learning around 'Growing'. We have really enjoyed the text 'The Tiny Seed' by Eric Carl. This is a fantastic story about a seed and the challenges it faces on its journey to becoming a giant flower. We have been re telling the story in our own words. We love to write and we are all working really hard to become 'Super Writers'.
In Science, we have been investigating 'what seeds need to grow?' We have planted 3 seeds and keep them in 3 different areas of the classroom: one in the dark, one out side and one in the class. We ahve been watering each plant the same everyday. The one out side grew the fastest but the one inside has grown the tallest. We wonder what they will look like when we get back from half term break? We are also looking forward to our trip to Wisley Gardens next half term.
