Friends of Buckingham (PTA)
Who are we?
All parents and carers of children at Buckingham Primary school are part of the Friends of Buckingham, The PTA. There is a small committee who meet together and organise events and activities. This year they are:

Secretary: Ravati
Treasurer: Aura
Fundraising and events: Pete, Gosia, Jenny, Lauren and Stacey.
What do we do?
We plan and organise fun events and activities for the children in school some of our regulars are:
Children’s artwork Christmas cards
In school Christmas pop up shop
Second hand uniform sales
Discos
Easter egg raffle
Sponsored walk
Summer fair and raffle
As well as being enjoyable for those who choose to take part, these events are also great fundraising opportunities. All money raised goes straight back to the school. Over the years we have been able to contribute the following:
Additional resources – class iPads, additional books for the library, musical instruments etc.
Playground equipment – skipping ropes, balls, basketball hoops etc.
Contributions to school trips and workshops – these are a really rewarding and enriching experience and our contributions help bring costs down for families.
Mini bus – we help to pay for one of the school minibuses, which enable school trips for classes and for our sports team to travel to fixtures. This funding forms a large part of our financial support.
How can you help?
You are already a member of the PTA just by being a family of the school! You can help by supporting any of the events we run as much as possible – whether that is buying a raffle ticket, a pack of cards at Christmas time, taking part in the Christmas shop, buying a ticket for the school discos, attending the summer fair or finding some sponsors for the walk etc.
If you have any particular skills or have a connection to a company who may be able to support us then do get in touch, we are always looking for commercial donations or advertising. Perhaps you have gazebos we can use for the fair or equipment we could use at an event.
